·         Created and taught curriculum for non-art undergraduates, Fibers for Non-BFAs, that focused on many traditional fiber techniques

·         Through the creation of projects and out-of-class assignments that fostered creative thinking, students were encouraged to apply

             concepts that they learned to their own careers 

·         Techniques taught during the semester:  tapestry; soft sculpture construction; surface design:  dyeing using MX cold water dyes

             (immersion, low water immersion, shibori, block and clamp resists, wax resists, discharges, etc.), utilizing fabric paints for monoprints,

             image transfers, embroidery, and machine stitching

·         Nene Humphrey’s, Circling the Center, is an installation encompassing  performance, installation

            and collaborative art-making between a sculptor, a weaver, a sound designer and members of the Kutztown community

·         I assisted in the creation of the Victorian mourning braiding, the physical aspect of the installation

Fall 2010-Spring 2011, Teaching Assistant for Fiber and Materials Studies Department, Tyler School of Art  

                        ·         Assisted undergraduate classes including:  silkscreen, surface design, and alternative materials

                        ·         Duties included preparing samples, giving demonstrations of equipment and techniques,

                                           and answering questions during class time

Summer-Fall 2012, Commissioned Sculpture

               ·         Worked together with artist, David Quay, in the creation of a commissioned five foot Buddha sculpture for a public space

                        ·         Required extensive knowledge of traditional plaster  sculpting and faux finishing
